The Department of Nonsense is not a real government department. It has no authority, no jurisdiction, no budget, and no relationship to any actual agency of any country. It has a seal, which it had made, and eight divisions, which it invented.

What it does have is shirts. Each one is issued by the division whose business it concerns — nurses, anglers, parents, teachers, and the man holding the tongs. The joke is on the front. The seal is on the label, where it belongs.

Everything is printed when ordered. Nothing sits in a warehouse, nothing is thrown away, and the shirts are priced so that buying one is not a decision anyone needs to sleep on.

The Department is operated by Atlas Learning Group, LLC in Pennsylvania. It is one person. The Department regrets nothing.
